modern lifts, Wagrain will make every skier and snow boarders' dream come
true. Forests flank some of the worlds most glorious ski runs and 220km
of groomed trails are sure to set every cross country skiers pulses racing.
The ski lift system, mostly with six and eight man high-speed chairlifts,
has weather protection canopies, leather seats (some of which are heated)
and creates an unrivalled ski experience together with minimal queues.
The resort is complemented by state of the art snow making equipment to
most major runs, and floodlight skiing in the resort of Flachau guaranteeing
snow and long days of skiing. Further up the valley, a 5 minute journey
from the Graffenberg lift, lies Kleinarl, connecting to Zauchensee by
modern lifts over two mountain ranges. Between Kleinarl and Zauchensee
lies a winter sport park and half pipe for snowboarders. For non-skiers there are winter hiking paths, horse drawn carriages and a fabulous selection of après ski venues - quite literally something for everyone. Wagrain in Summer Wagrain is the ideal base for hikes through alpine meadows in bloom and lush high pastures laced with crystal-clear mountain streams. Here there are over 140km of marked hiking and walking paths, to explore and enjoy. The easiest way of exploring is to take the Flying Mozart and Grafenberg lifts to the dizzy heights, where you can begin your hike set against the most breathtaking of backdrops. The Nordic Sports Paradise is a gathering spot for everyone who wants to ski even during the summer months with 12 marked routes extending for 150km. Beginners can enjoy the shorter routes while experienced skiers will want to tackle the 42km Marathon Tour of the valley. Clearly marked mountain bike trails make it easy for you to explore the surrounding mountains by bike while experiencing the unique panoramas only Wagrain can offer. The adventure for all adrenaline junkies is the Wagrain Mountain Bike Park, and a perfectly sculpted trail and ski centre are guaranteed to be a never ending source of excitement.
